5 star ratingFantastic Pub!! Stag’s Head is a wonderful pub full of locals and tourists. Such a comfortable place; feels like home from the start. Amazing staff that helps you find a nice pint (servers come to the table which for some is a relief- don’t have to stand at the bar to get a pint).

After three visits we had to get the t-shirt which for 10 euros is almost as good as being there.

Get away from the Temple Bar area and walk 10 minutes to Stag’s Head.

5 star ratingA landmark pub A landmark pub in Dublin! Old Victorian style, dark solid wood, red leather, impressive bar and a stag's head hanging over it (outside too, at the facade)...

We visited for a late lunch on a Friday, there were many customers but we managed to find a nice table. The waitress was polite and quick. We ordered our Smithwick's beers (our first try of the Smithwick's brand in our Dublin trip), a red and a pale ale and we shared the sandwich of the day: open style with salmon and side of fries. It was very good (the bread too)! We wanted the pulled pork from the regular menu but they didn't have it.

The atmosphere was the best for us travelers to get a first impression of a Dublin pub!

Prices OK, I think we paid ~23€ (incl. small tip).

5 star ratingGreat Victorian Pub We visited early on a Monday lunchtime and received a friendly greeting. The Guinness was poured properly and tasted excellent. We later decided to eat and had an enjoyable light lunch - being too full after a hotel breakfast for the traditional bacon and cabbage.
